Oneida Tribal Belt

The Oneida Tribal Belt was held for a long time in the possession of Chief Skenando of the Oneidas who was a friend and ally to George Washington during the Revolutionary War. The belt was known as the Tribal Belt of the Oneida Nation. The six squares represent the territories of the Six Nations, who are joined together as one people, one nation, one country. The six diamonds are the Council Fires of each of the six united brothers.
