Nomination Belt: Among the Iroquois it is the privelege of the women to nominate the chiefs. The women of the Five Nations shall hold the sacred chieftainship titles. If they shall see any chief acting contrary to constitutional justice, the women relatives of the erring chief shall come before the council to warn them 3 times. If the chief or the council disregard the warnings then the chief will lose his title and be relieved of his duties.
